2.2 Instagram Direct Message (DM) Automation

When you send a direct message containing specific keywords (such as “ENZY”) to our Instagram account @wearenativenature, our automated messaging system will initiate a conversation to collect:

•        Your email address

•        Your phone number (optional — you may skip this step)

•        Your Instagram username and profile information as provided by the platform

 

This data collection is facilitated through Buffer’s social media automation tools. By initiating this DM conversation, you are providing express consent to receive marketing communications from Native Nature.

 

How DM consent works:

You initiate contact by sending a keyword DM. Our automated system asks you to reply with your email address and optionally your phone number. Replying constitutes your express consent under CASL and applicable US laws.

 

2.3 SMS / Text Messaging

When you provide your phone number through our Instagram DM flow or website opt-in forms, you may be enrolled in our SMS text club. We collect:

•        Your mobile phone number

•        Consent timestamp and method of opt-in

•        Message interaction data (delivery status, opt-out requests)

 

2.4 Email Marketing

When you subscribe through any of our channels, we collect your email address and, where provided, your name. Email lists are managed through Klaviyo.

4. Instagram DM Flow Detailed Disclosure

Our Instagram DM automation is triggered when you send specific keyword messages to @wearenativenature. Here is exactly how the flow works:

Step 1 — Keyword Trigger

You send a DM containing a trigger keyword (e.g., “ENZY”) to @wearenativenature. This initiates an automated response sequence.

Step 2 — Email Collection

Our system sends you a message asking you to reply with your email address to complete sign-up. By replying with your email address, you consent to receive recurring marketing emails from Native Nature. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Step 3 — Phone Number Collection (Optional)

After providing your email, our system may ask if you’d like to join our text club by replying with your phone number. This step is optional. If you reply “SKIP” or do not respond, you will not be enrolled in SMS communications.

Step 4 — Confirmation

Once you complete the flow, you receive a confirmation message. Your contact information is added to the applicable subscriber lists in Klaviyo.

Data stored from DM flow:

Email address, phone number (if provided), Instagram username, consent timestamp, and the keyword that triggered the flow. This information is transmitted to and stored in Klaviyo.

 

5. SMS Terms and Conditions
5.1 What You’re Signing Up For

By joining our text club, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from Native Nature at the phone number you provided. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

5.2 How to Opt Out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.

•        Purchase and order data is retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes

•        Consent records are retained for a minimum of 3 years per CASL requirements
